David Moyes in the frame for Real Sociedad job

David Moyes is reportedly being considered as a potential replacement for Real Sociedad coach Jagoba Arrasate after the club's president started sounding out candidates.
Arrasate has had a difficult time after being promoted from the youth set-up in summer 2013 and is said to be close to the sack after an embarrassing Europa League exit to FC Krasnodar and just one win in nine La Liga games this season.
Former Mainz coach Thomas Tuchel, previous Real Madrid, Sevilla and Tottenham manager Juande Ramos and ex-Betis and West Bromwich Albion manager Pepe Mel have also been linked to the post.
But Moyes, having said during recent interviews that he was keen to get back into the game after his sorry time at Manchester United, is a genuine contender, according to Cope radio.
Aperribay told radio station Cadena Ser: "It is true that we are working on finding other alternatives and possibilities. I have spoken about that with the coach [Arrasate], who knows that already. A club in this situation looks at alternatives and possibilities in case things happen and situations get more difficult."
A decision on the coaching situation at Sociedad is unlikely to be made this week, according to AS, but Arrasate knows that should his team not win this Saturday's La Liga game against Malaga at Anoeta, then somebody else is likely to be in charge against champions Atletico Madrid the following weekend.
