Rojo set for return as United wait on Shaw injury

Manchester United are set to welcome back Marcos Rojo for the visit of Hull on Saturday as they face uncertainty over the fitness of Luke Shaw.
Rojo dislocated his shoulder during United's 2-1 derby defeat by Manchester City earlier this month, but is fit again and could return to the matchday squad as Louis van Gaal's side hunt for their third win in a row.
Shaw, however, has been ruled out for a "few weeks" with an ankle injury as United wait to see if he will play again this year.
Shaw underwent a scan after being taken off in the first half of United's 2-1 win at Arsenal last Saturday, but Van Gaal said he had suffered no major difficulties.
"Luke sustained an ankle ligament injury but with no serious complications," Van Gaal said. "He will only be out for the next few weeks because of this."
Rojo could be joined in the team to face Hull by Radamel Falcao, after the striker recovered from a calf injury to take part in training during the international break.
"Maybe Falcao can come back in the 18, maybe Rojo can come back in the 18," Van Gaal said.
Rojo's return gives Van Gaal the option of using him at left-back to deputise for Shaw, although the Argentine has been deployed as a centre-back in his United career so far.
With Daley Blind injured and Reece James loaned to Rotherham, Shaw's absence leaves Van Gaal with a choice of Rojo, Tyler Blackett and Ashley Young, who has been used as a wing-back, to fill in on the left of his defence.
"Every player in my selection has to fight for his position," Van Gaal added.
Van Gaal revealed he gave Blind a break in the hope it would accelerate his recovery from a knee problem.
"I gave him a holiday and he came back on Monday," Van Gaal said. "He has to exercise and practise every day as an injured player has to train more than the fit players."
Meanwhile, Jonny Evans made his comeback for United's reserves on Tuesday in a 5-0 win over Blackburn after two months out with an ankle injury and Rafael da Silva, who has had a calf problem, has returned to training but neither will face Hull. Phil Jones, who has been recovering from shin splints, is still out.
