Sturridge to get specialist treatment in the sun

Liverpool have sent striker Daniel Sturridge to the United States in order for him to continue rehabilitation from the thigh injury that has kept him sidelined for the majority of the season.
Sturridge has not featured for Liverpool since August having suffered numerous setbacks since the initial thigh strain he sustained while on international duty for England.
"He has gone away to get some specific work in with some of our staff and he is coming along well," Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said.
It is thought Sturridge has travelled to Los Angeles for a fortnight for warm-weather training and rehab on his thigh, although it is not thought the 25-year-old will undergo any medical treatment or procedures.
Having seemingly recovered from his initial thigh problem, Sturridge pulled a calf muscle in his first training session back with the Liverpool first team in October before going on to suffer a thigh tear which is expected to keep him out of action until early 2015.
Rodgers previously revealed the club's medical staff are doing all they can to understand why Sturridge keeps breaking down and launched a full medical investigation into the forward's repeated injury troubles.
Sturridge was said to be "devastated" and at a "low point" over his latest thigh problem, which is a completely different complaint to the one he suffered while on England duty, and even suggested his persistent injury problems could be hereditary.
