Sunderland have confirmed goalkeeper Marton Fulop has joined Ipswich for an undisclosed fee, where he joins former boss Roy Keane.

Fulop, who joined Manchester City on loan last season when an injury to Shay Given left them short, should be included in the squad for the first game of the season against Middlesbrough.

Despite establishing himself as Sunderland's No.1 in the 2008-09 Premier League season, the Hungary international was overlooked by new boss Steve Bruce and will now provide competition for Brian Murphy and Arran Lee-Barrett following the release of Richard Wright.

Fulop's arrival at Portman Road sees him link up with his international team-mate and close friend, Tamas Priskin. He made 50 appearances for the Wearsiders, including 14 last term.
