Van Gaal hits back at Scholes
Louis van Gaal has warned Paul Scholes to "pay attention to his words" after the Manchester United legend claimed his former club face losing out on the best local youth talent to rivals City.
United head into Sunday's home game against Liverpool in third place after five successive wins, with Van Gaal having already hit out at Scholes' former team-mate Gary Neville over comments that United are defending like a pub team.

Now it is Scholes who has come in for criticism from Van Gaal after saying he fears Manchester City's new £200 million training complex could attract the best young talent in the North West.
Van Gaal said in response to Scholes on Friday: "That's another legend, yeah? I think he has to pay attention to his words too. The building and accommodation [at the training ground] is not so important.
"The philosophy and staff are, and then you have to work with the talents.
"I don't have time to compare talents and staff [with City] but when I see what we have I am very happy."
Van Gaal also dismissed remarks from former United assistant boss Mike Phelan that the club's injury record could be down to the Dutchman's training methods.
"I analyse everything but if this talk is based on no facts then I say 'No'," said Van Gaal.
United will be without Chris Smalling, Angel Di Maria, Daley Blind and Luke Shaw against Liverpool, with Phil Jones and Rafael also doubtful having only just returned to training.
