Drogba benched for Community Shield clash

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed his starting XI for Sunday's Community Shield against Manchester United and said it would contain only one change from the side that lost their final pre-season friendly at Hamburg.

Hilario will start in goal, with the same outfield players from Wednesday night's game taking to the field at Wembley.

Blues boss Ancelotti revealed Didier Drogba would be on the bench, while No.1 Petr Cech, defender Alex (both calf) and full-back Jose Bosingwa (knee) are all out.

Starting XI: Henrique Hilario, Paulo Ferreira, Branislav Ivanovic, John Terry, Ashley Cole, Michael Essien, John Mikel Obi, Frank Lampard, Salomon Kalou, Nicolas Anelka, Florent Malouda.

Subs: Ross Turnbull, Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho, Yossi Benayoun, Yuri Zhirkov, Gael Kakuta, Daniel Sturridge, Jeffrey Bruma.
