Brendan Rodgers denied there are issues in the Liverpool dressing room but believes his players need to rediscover their "team ethos" following their defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

Liverpool slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford despite seeing numerous chances thwarted by United's in-form goalkeeper David De Gea.

Rodgers claimed the result "epitomised" the club's season so far and, with a League Cup clash against Bournemouth coming up on Wednesday, the Northern Irishman denied he was managing a fractured dressing room.

"I wouldn't tell you anyway," Rodgers said. "Internally it will always stay within. Every dressing room will always have issues but in my time it has never been the case.

"There is nothing of note. The players are real good honest players. There is honesty there but they are just not getting results.

"We want to recapture the team ethos. Chopping and changing [the side], it's not easy but whenever it's consistent that you're not scoring goals, you are going to look for solutions to that. The bottom line is we haven't been consistent enough."
