Burley: City can make a statement against Barca

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique believes Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is one of the 10 best players in the world says that Lionel Messi is still the undisputed No.1.

The players will meet next February with City drawn against Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League again.

They have similar records this season, with Messi's Argentina international team-mate Aguero scoring 19 times in 20 matches for the Premier League champions, while Messi has hit 21 in 21 games for Barca.

But Enrique told the Manchester Evening News: "He [Aguero] is probably up there in the top 10 or so players, but for me the No. 1 is Leo Messi. Everyone else comes after him."

He warned that Messi and Barcelona faced "a very hard match" against City - the second successive season they have faced them in the competition - but added: "If we're on form, we are good enough to cope with any competition.

"I always think positively, and I know we are quite capable of getting through the round against Manchester City."

Meanwhile, Messi has said he is relishing the prospect of facing international colleague Aguero.

"Looking forward to playing in the next round of the UEFA Champions League," he wrote on his official Facebook page.

"It'll be really nice to face my friend Sergio Aguero as I always beat him at [videogame] FIFA, but let's see what happens on the pitch."
