AC Milan closing in on Liverpool midfielder Suso

AC Milan could be about to make a move for Liverpool midfielder Suso this month after reportedly clinching a deal for the 21-year-old from next summer.

A four-year contract has reportedly already been agreed with the Spaniard, who is out of contract at Liverpool in July, but his agent has not ruled out the move being brought forward.

"Yes, I can confirm that there is an agreement between Milan and Suso on a four-year contract," said Suso's agent Jaime Serra to MilanNews.it. "There's a possibility [he will arrive in January]. We'll just have to see what happens between now and the end of the transfer window."

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Milan's general manager Adriano Galliani was cryptic about links with other players this winter, saying that the swap deal with Alessio Cerci and Fernando Torres should be their one and only move, but adding that the transfer market "is dynamic" and that anything could yet happen.

He added that, with a 28-man squad, players would most likely have to leave before any new ones arrive. It is with that in mind that Galliani may prefer the option of signing Suso only when he becomes a free agent in the summer, having already agreed terms with the player.
