Burley: Navas may be the worse crosser

Sergio Aguero has welcomed Wilfried Bony to Manchester City by declaring the £25 million striker will be an excellent addition.

Swansea forward Bony completed his move to the Premier League champions last week as manager Manuel Pellegrini made his first January signing.

"We're always very happy when we get new players," the Argentine told The National. "The idea is always that this is done in the spirit of improving the overall performance of the team.

"Since Wilfried has been playing in England, he should be able to take the pressure of competing in the Premier League. So he will be a very good signing. We're very thankful for this."

Bony was the Premier League's 20-goal top scorer in 2014 and struck 34 times in 70 games in all competitions for Swansea.

However, he will not be able to make his City debut yet as he is representing Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations.
