Fletcher free to leave Manchester United
Manchester United have told midfielder Darren Fletcher he can leave the club on a free transfer.
Fletcher was a regular in Louis van Gaal's starting XI on their pre-season tour of the United States last summer, and was even named as the club's vice-captain by his manager.

However, the arrivals of Angel Di Maria and Daley Blind have restricted his playing time - the 30-year-old has started only four Premier League games this season - with Michael Carrick took over as captain Wayne Rooney's deputy.
The Scot has now been informed he is free to end his 20-year spell with the club this month if he wants to, according to the Press Association.
West Ham are said to be leading the chase for Fletcher's signature but Valencia and West Brom are also interested in signing the player.
It remains to be seen whether Fletcher will turn out in a United shirt for the 343rd and final time this weekend when the club host Leicester at Old Trafford.
Fletcher has won five Premier League titles, one Champions League and two League Cups at United, and was part of the team that lifted the FA Cup in 2004.
However, he also missed almost two years after being diagnosed with debilitating disease ulcerative colitis, returning in December 2013 under David Moyes.
