Van Gaal granted FA charge extension
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been given a 24-hour extension to respond to his FA charge for bringing the game into disrepute.
Van Gaal now has until 6pm on Tuesday to explain the comments he made following United's 0-0 draw at Cambridge in the fourth round of the FA Cup last month, when he criticised referee Chris Foy.

"We knew in advance everything would be against us - but you have to survive," he had said after his side were held at Abbey Stadium.
"And then you have seen the referee - its always the same. Everywhere I have coached these games, and I have coached them with other clubs, it's always the same.
"What was wrong with the referee? You can give your own opinion, I can't give mine."
United went on to win the Old Trafford replay 3-0, with the Dutchman confirming on Friday he plans to contest the charge.
"I do not think I said something wrong," said Van Gaal, who was originally due to give the FA his response on Monday.
He added: "In 30 years as a trainer-coach, I've never been charged. You can confirm, as the media, that I never say anything about the referee, in all the matches I have played."
