Russell Crowe to meet Leeds fan group for investment talks

Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe could step-up his attempts to buy Leeds after making contact with the working group that is supporting fan ownership of the club.
Crowe, a Leeds supporter, caused a media storm last week when he asked his 1.69 million Twitter followers whether he should buy the club.
"@Samwild90: @russellcrowe please buy leeds. In need of help!!" Anybody else think this is a good idea?

Leeds LLP responded favourably and made contact with Crowe, who told the group to watch a six-episode show of the work he has done as co-owner of NRL side South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Under his stewardship, South Sydney won the NRL Grand Final last year thanks to an inspirational performance from Sam Burgess, who has since switched codes to play rugby union for Bath in the Aviva Premiership.
The group will now attempt to meet Crowe face-to-face when he returns to the country next month.
"We've contacted the South Sydney Rabbitohs to try and track down the six-part show that Russell mentioned in his tweets," a statement from LLP read.
"Russell is back in the UK next month and we will try to get a face-to-face to see if we can get something more concrete from him."
LLP is a limited liability partnership which will invite Leeds supporters to become partners by buying stakes worth £100. It could use Crowe, who is perhaps most famous for his role as Maximus in Gladiator, as a figurehead for any potential investment into the club.
A maximum of 100,000 stakes are to be made available with fans able to buy up to 1,000, and each stake is worth one vote.
