Mourinho is not special, says PSG defender Luiz
David Luiz has revealed he does not consider Jose Mourinho "special" as the Paris Saint-Germain defender prepares to shatter the Champions League dreams of his former club Chelsea.
Luiz, 27, moved from Chelsea to PSG ahead of last summer's World Cup, and featured against his old employers in the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the duo's last 16 tie last month.
With Luiz part of his side, Mourinho, 52, masterminded Chelsea's progress to the semi-finals at PSG's expense last season. But the Brazil international says Mourinho, who claimed Luiz would not be missed after his depature last summer, holds no lustre for him.
"He is special for you, not for me," Luiz, who won the Champions League and Europa League in three-and-a-half years at Chelsea, said. "I had some great moments at Chelsea and won a lot of titles. I was very happy.
"They are having a great season, defend well and have great players but above all I know my team. We will try to score there and play like we know how.
"We will have a good game plan and implement it the best way possible to achieve a great performance. Both can still qualify."
