Upson at risk of losing England place

Matthew Upson's England career could be in doubt after it emerged he has had a disagreement with manager Fabio Capello.
Upson was left out of the side for the first European Championship qualifier against Bulgaria and didn't even make the bench for the next game in Switzerland.
Instead Capello has thrown together new centre half pairings in the absence of John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, and Ledley King, with Phil Jagielka, Michael Dawson and Gary Cahill all getting chances to shine.
An insider told ESPNsoccernet: "The problem is that Matthew Upson thought he should have been playing and he told the manager.''
With Upson falling so far down the pecking order, it is possible that he will not be selected again for the squad when first-choice defenders such as Terry and Ferdinand are back and the 31-year-old may be forced into an early international retirement.
