Sunday's FA Cup second round draw threw up the possibility that AFC Wimbledon could face MK Dons.

AFC were formed in 2002 as a breakaway club from Wimbledon FC, who were moved to Milton Keynes in 2003, renamed and are known to those who follow the Conference National team as "Franchise FC".

First, though, both teams most overcome replays of their first round matches. Ebbsfleet United stand in the way of AFC and MK Dons must beat Stevenage. Should both keep their side of the bargain then the FA Cup could be staging a tie which may just define the term "grudge match".

Another club borne of a protest movement is FC United of Manchester who must wait to find out whether they will face Brighton & Hove Albion or Woking. Should Brighton prevail then FC United could be facing the club that Manchester United, their antecedent, faced in the final of 1983.
