Nani and Giggs doubtful for Manchester derby

Sir Alex Ferguson is facing an injury crisis ahead of Manchester United's derby grudge match against Manchester City on Wednesday.
Following the news that midfielder Owen Hargreaves would be out of action for another five weeks, Ferguson revealed that wingers Ryan Giggs and Nani were both unlikely to feature.
Giggs has already been ruled out after suffering a hamstring injury, while Nani is struggling with a groin strain.
"Ryan is out," Ferguson said. "Nani is doubtful. At this stage it doesn't look as if he will make it. It is not a great position for us to be in. We are counting heads at the moment."
Ferguson admitted he was unable to decide on a starting XI after many of his squad had been struck down by a virus. But Ferguson, who missed his pre-match press conference on Friday with illness, was confident his under-strength squad would still be capable of beating City.
"We've no idea at all [who will play]," he admitted. "We've still got some players out with 'flu and we've sent some players home. We're not in a good position at the moment, but we have a strong squad. We just carry on."
