Injury problems continue to hamper Fabio Capello ahead of England's friendly with France at Wembley on Wednesday, as Jack Wilshere has been ruled and Joe Hart and Phil Jagielka rated doubtful.

Wilshere has been sent back to Arsenal for assessment, while Hart will be monitored by the England medical team after limping out of training on Tuesday. That was a training session Everton defender Jagielka took no part in after being struck down with a fever.

"Wilshere is going home because he will not be fit for tomorrow," Capello said. "Jagielka has flu but we think he will be OK tomorrow.

"With Hart the doctor is waiting to decide what really happened, but we don't think it is such a big problem for him."

With Wayne Rooney and Darren Bent already absent and a doubt over Andy Carroll's ability to see out 90 minutes, Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd may get a run out after impressing Capello's scouting team.

"The scouts monitored him for a long time and said he is a good player," Capello confirmed. "We are looking at players in the Championship, not only in the Premier League."
