David Bentley has sealed a move away from Tottenham, with the winger joining Birmingham on loan for the remainder of the season.

Bentley has found opportunities limited at White Hart Lane this season and manager Harry Redknapp said prior to the opening of the transfer window that they would be prepared to deal if the right offer was tabled.

A permanent move has not arisen, but Redknapp has given the green light to Bentley heading to St Andrew's for the remainder of the season - with Birmingham claiming he snubbed a host of teams to head to the Midlands.

Bentley joined Tottenham in the summer of 2008 from Blackburn.

Sebastian Larsson is being linked with a move away from Birmingham, with Newcastle in the hunt, and Bentley could be viewed as a ready-made replacement for the winger.
