Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel is interested in a move to the Premier League.

AC Milan are reportedly leading the chase for the Holland international, whose Bayern contract expires in the summer, but van Bommel is keeping his options open.

"I've read some of the rumours about me leaving Bayern Munich," van Bommel told Radio 538. "It's not like I read everything, but my name comes up quite a lot on the internet at the moment.

"They're right when they write that there's some interest, but nothing's serious at the moment. There are a number of clubs from England, Italy and Holland that want me. I haven't spoken to any clubs yet but I will definitely consider a move.

"There have been plenty of offers, but I've turned down several options. I need to have a good feeling with an eventual new club and I have to feel at home there."

Aston Villa have been linked with the 33-year-old, with Gerard Houllier looking to bring more experience into his side, and van Bommel's agent Mino Raiola believes his client would prefer a move to England.

"There is some interest, but not serious yet," Raiola told De Telegraaf. "Many clubs will think about it. Mark prefers to move to England."
