Chelsea out of 'difficult moment' - Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti believes Chelsea have finally turned the corner after their 2-0 victory against Blackburn Rovers, but remains unsure whether the Blues can still win the title.
Second half goals from Branislav Ivanovic and Nicolas Anelka were enough for the hosts to grab all three points, a welcome improvement after falling well off the pace in the Premier League title race in recent weeks. Nevertheless, the Italian saw enough from the performance to be convinced his team have returned to their best.
"I think so," Ancelotti said, when asked whether his side had turned a corner. "I think the difficult moment is gone because this is a good result for us. Obviously it is hard to close the gap to the first position [in the league] but we have to try."
Asked outright whether he thought Chelsea could still win the league, however, the former AC Milan boss was non-committal.
"I don't know about this, but we will fight every game with all our strength," Ancelotti said. "Our difficult moment was too long but now it is important to look forward and to maintain a good atmosphere in our team.
"I said that the moment was too long and it was not easy to move on but today I can say after the match that we are doing better so our future could be good."
Ancelotti was pleased with his team's performance at Stamford Bridge, although he still had some concerns about the players' sharpness in front of goal.
"We deserved to win, we played good football for all the game, we had good control," Ancelotti said. "It was not easy because it took a lot of time to score the first goal, but after that first goal it was really better.
"I think we started the game well and could have scored before [we did] but this is football. In this moment we have to use a lot of opportunities to score one goal but I think that the team is doing really better compared to the past so we hope in the future we can come back to play our football."
With Tottenham playing on Sunday the Blues returned to the top four with the victory, and currently lie seven points behind leaders Manchester City having played a game less.
