Tevez finally settled at City

Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez insists he is now happy at Eastlands and has set his sights on Premier League success.

Tevez looked to be on his way out of the club in December when, after frequently speaking of his dissatisfaction with life in Manchester, he handed in a transfer request.

In addition to his personal problems, Tevez appeared to have issues with Roberto Mancini, having had a dressing-room bust-up during the 2-1 win at home to Newcastle in October before reacting angrily towards the manager when he was substituted during a 1-0 victory over Bolton in December.

However, Tevez said: "I am happy now. The issue is in the past. I had my discrepancies with the boss, but we spoke as two men and everything is solved and I'm very happy."

Having beaten Wolves 4-3 on Saturday, City are currently level on points with Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.

City have played two games more than their local rivals, but Tevez says belief is growing that they can win the title for the first time since 1968.

"We are on the right tracks and we are growing every day," he said. "This is not the same team as two or three years ago - it is much stronger.

"If we continue to play and win as a team, all the results will come in our favour. The more games we win, the more we are starting to believe that we can win the championship. What I think and what I dream is to make history for this club.

"It has been a long time for this club not to win a title and my dream is to change that. It is what we are all trying to achieve."
