Ranieri 'happy' to be linked to Liverpool job

Roma boss Claudio Ranieri has welcomed reports he is under consideration for the position at Liverpool.
Ranieri, 59, has endured a difficult season with his hometown club, although a 1-0 win at Cesena on Sunday has lifted Roma to fourth in Serie A.
The Italian previously finished second in the table with Juventus in 2009, and he led Chelsea to the Champions League semi-finals before his dismissal in 2004. Now, it seems, he could be open for a return to the Premier League.
"I am happy that a team like Liverpool are thinking about me," he said. "I am very proud to lead the team of my home city, but there are pros and cons."
Ranieri stressed that he hoped for more positive times ahead after securing Roma's third away victory.
"We have not won away from home very often this campaign and this is an important result for us,'' he said. "My players kept going until the end and were rewarded for such an approach with all three points.
"It was not easy because Cesena made life difficult for us and we had to be patient and not give up hope. I hope this victory will mark a turning point for my team."
