Iker Casillas has denied suggestions that coach Jose Mourinho could leave Real Madrid at the end of the season due to disagreements with the club's hierarchy.

As reported on Wednesday that Mourinho had grown frustrated with the club's inability to recruit a new striker in January and that he had been irked by general director Jorge Valdano's decision to query the use of Karim Benzema as a substitute.

It was speculated that Mourinho could return to Inter, or move to the Premier League with Manchester United or Manchester City at the end of the 2010-11 season.

However, Casillas is confident that Mourinho will not walk away from the Bernabeu after only one season in charge of the nine-time European Cup winners.

"Jose Mourinho wants to stay and Real Madrid wants him to stay," Casillas told Onda Cero. "I can say this as I'm the captain.

"We have a young team and he knows in the long run this will pay off. He loves the city and he loves the club. We know that Madrid has to achieve more right now. But remember, we're a young and new-look team."
