Chelsea warned of other clubs' interest in Luiz

Benfica coach Jorge Jesus has informed Chelsea that other teams are in the hunt for David Luiz.
Luiz's proposed transfer to Stamford Bridge is on the verge of collapse after negotiations stalled over Benfica's £25 million asking price. Chelsea have offered £21.5 million plus one of the club's young players but the Portuguese club want the full cash amount.
Chelsea booked a work permit application for Luiz for Wednesday in anticipation of finally completing the drawn out deal but Benfica played the Brazilian defender for 90 minutes in a cup match with Rio Ave on Wednesday evening to send the a clear message to the Blues.
Following the cup match Jesus fired another warning shot by claiming there is rival interest in the highly-rated 23-year-old.
"There are several clubs interested, but still nothing on the table," Jesus said. "He played normally without taking risks and played a great game."
With the window closing on Monday there is still no resolution to the row over the player's price but negotiations are ongoing.
