Adebayor leaves door open for City return

Emmanuel Adebayor has left the door open for a return to Manchester City - but he admits that, as things stand, Roberto Mancini has "lost confidence" in him.
Real Madrid have taken Adebayor on loan for the rest of the season - a deal that could become permanent in the summer - after he fell well down the pecking order at City.
The Togo striker has made just two Premier League starts this season, with Mancini preferring to field Edin Dzeko and Carlos Tevez as the attacking spearheads.
The arrival of Dzeko and a training-ground scrap with Kolo Toure appeared to herald the end of Adebayor's stay at Eastlands - but he feels he could return to the club next summer.
"What went wrong with Mancini and Manchester City? I don't think there's a lot of things wrong," Adebayor said. "Right now he's lost confidence in me. He doesn't have any confidence in me any more and he has decided to choose other players.
"So for me I'm very happy to be back again on the football pitch with Real Madrid and the chance to play football again."
Reports suggest that Real Madrid can sign Adebayor on a full-time basis for a fee of around £16 million.
