The future of in-demand Lille midfielder Eden Hazard continues to be the subject of much debate, and he has now suggested his preference would be for a move to La Liga, should he leave France.

Hazard, 20, has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in Europe over the past 18 months, with Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United all linked with potential big-money swoops.

The Belgian international has consistently denied that he is looking to move away from Lille, but has also done little to quell speculation about his future by talking up the merits of other European clubs.

"I really enjoy England, Germany too," Hazard told French radio station RMC. "But my characteristics correspond to Spanish football. And this country also suits my temperament - the heat, the fine stadiums."
