Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has slammed Birmingham's Barry Ferguson for allegedly "slapping" Laurent Koscielny on the head during the Carling Cup final.

Obafemi Martins struck the winner for Birmingham after a mix-up between Wojciech Sczezsny and Koscielny presented him with an open goal.

Following the 89th-minute goal, Ferguson was shown making contact with Koscielny, who had sunk to his knees after committing the error.

And Wilshere, who became embroiled in a war of words with Ferguson during injury time, has criticised the former Scotland international.

Wilshere posted on Twitter: "Well done to the Birmingham City player who slapped Koscielny on the head when they scored, very big of you!"

According to reports, Birmingham are aware of the incident and are expected to respond on Monday.
