Birmingham City's Carling Cup hero Obafemi Martins has admitted he doesn't know whether he will remain at the club beyond the end of the season.

The Nigerian, who scored the winning goal in the final five minutes against Arsenal at Wembley on Sunday, is currently on loan at St Andrew's from Russian side Rubin Kazan.

Rubin coach Kurban Berdyev has said he expects the 26-year-old to return to the club in May, although the Blues do have the option to make the transfer permanent for a fee in the region of £5 million.

Despite playing a decisive role in bringing home the club's first silverware in 48 years, Martins maintains he has been given no clue as to his future by Birmingham manager Alex McLeish.

"I don't know anything," Martins told the Birmingham Evening Mail. "I'm still on loan and I just want to be with the team, scoring goals.

"We will see what is going to happen."
