Manchester United defender Patrice Evra is confident he will shake off his injury concerns to play a full part against Liverpool on Sunday.

The French left-back failed to play the entire 90 minutes in defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, being withdrawn in the second half for youngster Fabio as United gave up some ground in the title race.

A knee problem is causing him some discomfort, but a confident Evra is in little doubt he will be fit to start the game at Anfield.

"I don't think it is very serious, and anyway I am a warrior," Evra told Canal+.

Liverpool look likely to have their own injury boost for the game, as Andy Carroll prepares to make his first appearance for the club since his £35 million move in January.
