Terry will be pleased to get captaincy back - Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti says Chelsea captain John Terry will be delighted to get back the England armband if, as expected, Fabio Capello returns it to him for the forthcoming Euro 2012 qualification clash with Wales.
The Italian has suggested this week that he is strongly considering giving Terry the captaincy once again, due in part to Rio Ferdinand's persistent injury problems and also the embarrassing spectacle in a recent friendly against Denmark where the armband was passed around a number of players while Terry - who was stripped of the honour last year - watched on.
But with Capello now set to reverse his decision, Ancelotti believes it will be a boost to the 30-year-old.
"I didn't say anything when the England team took away his armband," Ancelotti said. "Obviously, this is the decision of the national team and he will be happy about this."
Having stuck by the player last season, Ancelotti reiterated that he never had any concerns about the defender's ability to lead the Premier League side.
"He is a Chelsea man, he is a Chelsea player," he said. "He has fantastic experience, he has personality to be captain here."
Terry lost the captaincy due to a well-publicised off-field scandal, but Ancelotti insisted he is only concerned by the performances of his players - and he believes Terry has been performing admirably in recent months.
"I'm not interested in this," he said, when asked about Terry's off-pitch conduct. "I'm just interested in seeing him train well and play fantastic football at this moment. That's all."
