Gary Speed has drafted in Miss Wales in a bid to fire up his players for Saturday's Euro 2012 qualifier with England.

Wales manager Speed wants his players pumped up for the occasion and has opted to hand them singing lessons to aid them with the national anthem. Courtenay Hamilton will sing the national anthems at the Millennium Stadium and Speed has brought her in to help his players.

"The squad is learning it," striker Steve Morrison said. "We have been given the Welsh version and the phonetic version. You can call it the X Factor if you want.

"The lady singing the anthem gave us a lesson. We all had to get up and sing it on Sunday night. They played the song to us and we sang it as a group. I found out that you could mime when you are in a group!

"Our aim is to get the fans behind us. If it gives us an extra one per cent then good"
