Pacheco on verge of Norwich loan

Norwich City are close to securing the signing of Liverpool's young forward Dani Pacheco on an emergency loan deal until the end of the season.

Pacheco, 20, has made five appearances for Liverpool this season and will be joined at the Championship club by Wolves striker Sam Vokes.

Norwich have agreed deals with both Premier League clubs as they seek to strengthen their attack following injuries to Chris Martin and Aaron Wilbraham.

Norwich manager Paul Lambert told the club's official website: "The two of them are keen to come here and I'm sure if they join us it will give the whole squad a lift."

The Canaries are currently second in the Championship, nine points behind leaders Queens Park Rangers.
