Andy Murray staked his claim for a call-up to the Scotland team after scoring for the ATP World Tour Allstars in their charity exhibition match in Miami. It got us thinking - which other global sports stars would make up our football dream team?
In a slightly unconventional Top Tens this week (with 11 entries), we pick our starting XI for ESPN Allstars FC.
GOALKEEPER - Paul Collingwood
He may be facing a fight to retain his place in England's World Cup team, but no-one can doubt the catching ability of Collingwood. Blessed with impressive athleticism and cat-like instincts, Collingwood would have no qualms about throwing himself about to keep opposition strikers at bay. The Twenty20 captain is a strong leader and would not be afraid of giving his defenders an earful.
DEFENDER - Jonny Wilkinson
At left back we've gone for Rugby World Cup hero Wilkinson - unflappable under pressure and a big game player. A strong tactical brain, his tackling is almost as strong as his ability to turn defence quickly into attack. As an added bonus, Wilkinson would be first on our list to take our penalties - his record speaks for itself.
DEFENDER - John Isner
Height as a centre half is a huge advantage, and at 6'9" we were tempted to have Isner as our target man up front. While not necessarily the most mobile player, Isner has a level head and deals well under pressure - and there would be no concerns over his fitness following his marathon 11-hour victory at Wimbledon last year - a powerhouse in central defence.
DEFENDER - David Haye
Partnering Isner at centre-half we've gone for big David Haye, whose unique combination of speed and power would leave Fernando Torres quaking in his boots. Remarkably quick on his feet for such a big man, Haye would leave strikers trailing in his wake.

DEFENDER - Tom Brady
In our opinion, every team needs a secret weapon like Rory Delap - his long throw ins cause problems for even the most well organised defences. Step up New England Patriots quarterback Brady - the winner of three Super Bowls. Brady holds the record for the most touchdown passes in an NFL season - we'd back him to set similar standards on the football (sorry, Tom, soccer) pitch. If that isn't enough to convince you, there's the added benefit of his wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele joining the WAGs in the stands.
MIDFIELD - Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton reckons he would be a footballer if he wasn't a Formula One driver. He went to school with Aston Villa winger Ashley Young and claims he was quicker than his schoolmate. "I was a midfielder and I could go into a tackle so hard that I risked breaking my leg," Hamilton has admitted. Judging by the way he approaches his races, there is no doubting his uncompromising desire to win. Another string to his bow is that he is superb at taking corners...(sorry for that)
MIDFIELD - Sir Chris Hoy (C)
In the middle of the pitch we've opted for the powerhouse that is Chris Hoy. The triple Olympic champion may be best known for his explosive pace in the velodrome, but with his herculean stamina and power as well as impeccable timing we think he is the ideal man to dicate the play in the holding role. And with that give-it-everything vibe he gives off he gets our vote to wear the captain's armband.
MIDFIELD - Tom Daley
If Daley were a Premier League footballer, he would definitely play for Arsenal. The Olympic champion has grace, poise and would provide the flair to perfectly complement Hoy's engine - the yin and yang of the central midfield. Call us cynical, but we reckon he might win a few penalties with his diving ability...

MIDFIELD - Usain Bolt
Every team needs a bit of pace out wide, so who other than Usain Bolt out on the wing? The Jamaican has trained with Manchester United and reckons he has what it takes to play professional football. With pace that would put Theo Walcott to shame, Bolt would terrorise defences and do it all with a smile on his face.
STRIKER - Tiger Woods
A man with a trophy cabinet bursting at the seams, Woods is a born winner. His name on the teamsheet is likely to strike fear into the hearts of opposition defences. While his current lack of consistency on the golf course is cause for concern, he strikes the ball beautifully, plays well away from home and is always guaranteed to score.
STRIKER - Phillips Idowu
With his earrings and dyed hair, you could be forgiven for mistaking triple jumper Idowu for a footballer at first glance. The Olympic silver medallist has all the confidence and swagger of a Premier League star, and we've put him up front - with a leap like his we'd fancy him to score 30 goals a season, especially with the long balls coming in from Brady at right-back.
