Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho says there is no chance he will take charge at Manchester City and played down talk of Cristiano Ronaldo joining AC Milan.

Roberto Mancini's position at Eastlands has come under scrutiny as City battle to secure Champions League football for next season, and Mourinho - who has repeatedly spoken of his desire to return to England - has been touted as a possible successor.

Mourinho, though, has said he intends to remain in charge at Madrid next season "unless the press sacks me" and has ruled out City, saying: "For me to Manchester City, I say it is impossible."

He was more equivocal when asked about AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi's claims that he will try to take Ronaldo to the San Siro next season, although the deal still appears highly unlikely.

Mourinho said: "I'm not saying it's impossible, because in football you never know, and Berlusconi can make a crazy offer, but it must be a crazy offer because Real don't want to sell Cristiano Ronaldo."

FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti believes there is no prospect of Ronaldo leaving the Bernabeu in the imminent future.

"Florentino Perez has absolutely no desire to sell Cristiano Ronaldo," he said. "Maybe in a few years' time he could as anything is possible, but not now."
