Reina key to Liverpool form - Dalglish

Kenny Dalglish has hailed Pepe Reina's role in Liverpool's recent league form.
Liverpool are up to sixth after taking seven points from their last three matches, but rather than credit the Reds' freescoring attack - with nine goals in their last three matches - Dalglish believes a stubborn defence deserves just as much credit.
Reina, who this week stated his committment to the club, has not conceded a goal in open play in nearly a month. The Spaniard has had to pick the ball out of his net once in their last three matches - after Robin van Persie's penalty at Arsenal.
"It is important for us that we don't lose goals at the back," Dalglish told the club's official website. "It is important for Pepe, who has been fantastic in the last few months or so.
"He has really commanded his area; he wasn't as busy in the 5-0 win over Birmingham as he has been in other games but he was very confident and that helps us. For us, from the goalkeeping position through the team there are positives there for everyone."
Despite the sale of star striker Fernando Torres in January, Liverpool have shown no sign of missing the Spain international, with Maxi Rodriguez netting a hat-trick against Birmingham and new signings Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez showing real promise. And Dalglish believes the off-season will give the pair a chance to hone their understanding.
"Most players are better after a pre-season with their new club and that will apply to Andy and Luis next year."
