Maxi Rodriguez has admitted he is so determined to remain at Liverpool that he will accept a bit-part role under Kenny Dalglish.

Rodriguez has enjoyed an upturn in fortunes in recent weeks, scoring four goals in his last two games, as Liverpool have made a late push for European football.

The Argentine midfielder is aware that a couple of summer signings and the return from injury of Steven Gerrard could limit his impact but he is determined to forge a successful career on Merseyside.

"The manager knows I am ready whenever he wants me," Maxi said. "Whether I play or not does not matter. The team is the most important thing.

"I am really happy here at a great club.

"The type of life we have here, the way of life, is very different to what we were used to after nine years in Spain but I am enjoying everything."
