Carlo Ancelotti says there is no chance he will quit Chelsea to take over at AS Roma.

Ancelotti made a brief trip to Rome this week, sparking speculation that he could be set to take over at the club where he has always wanted to coach.

Just two short weeks ago it seemed certain that Ancelotti would lose his job after Chelsea's Champions League exit at the hands of Manchester United. But with Chelsea back in the title race the Italian's grip on the Stamford Bridge hotseat has tightened.

Now Ancelotti insists he will at least see out the final year of his contract.

He was quoted as saying by The Sun: "I have expressed many times it is my wish to one day coach Roma - that has always been my desire. However, this doesn't mean that I will do it tomorrow.

"I still have a year of my contract with Chelsea and I'm happy in London."
