Tottenham sweating on Bale injury
Tottenham are awaiting news on the ankle injury suffered by Gareth Bale during the 1-1 draw with Blackpool on Saturday evening.
Wales international Bale left the field on a stretcher following a horror tackle from Charlie Adam.
Referee Lee Probert did not hand out any punishment to Adam, but ESPN pundit Kevin Keegan was far from happy with the challenge.
The injury looked serious and Tottenham have sent the winger to hospital for assessment.
"He has done his ankle, it looks quite bad,'' Redknapp said. "We are not sure whether he has done his ligament or something. They are checking up on him but it is quite swollen.
"It looked a bad challenge, to be fair. But that is how it goes. They will scan him for sure and see how it is. It might not be so bad. He might have done his ligament, it may just be a twist. I don't know, we'll have to wait and see.''
