Scott Dann has brushed off speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool, with the defender claiming he is content with life at Birmingham City.

Dann saw a promising season cut short by a hamstring injury and he has not featured for Blues since the defeat to West Ham in the Carling Cup on January 11.

He is now fit and looking forward to next season, which is likely to be at St Andrew's unless the club opt to cash in as Dann will not be banging on the door demanding a transfer.

"If things like that come in the future then it is out of my hands," Dann told Sky Sports News of the reported interest from Liverpool. "I have just got to keep working hard.

"I am happy at Birmingham and hopefully pick up where I left off last season.

"I have got two years on my contract, so I am still a Birmingham player. If the club want to offer me a new contract it is up to them, but I am happy on the pitch and want to keep improving."
