Kyle Bartley has revealed talks are taking place between Rangers and his parent club Arsenal to take the teenager back to Ibrox for next season.

The Gers signed the defender on loan in January and despite him missing the end of the season on account of knee injury picked up in March, he made a positive impression on the Glasgow club's hierarchy.

Bartley was in Scotland to see Rangers clinch the SPL title on Sunday and he is keen to return for a second crack if a deal can be struck.

"There are talks going on with Arsenal as we speak so we'll have to wait and see but if I'm told I can come back that would be fantastic," Bartley told Rangers' official website.

"The experience this year was invaluable and I really enjoyed my time so if I could come back next season that would be fantastic.

"All the boys get on really well and they're all great lads and now they can celebrate this success together."
