Henry wants to join forces with Pires in America

Aston Villa midfielder Robert Pires revealed he has received a plea from former Arsenal team-mate Thierry Henry to join him in Major League Soccer next season.
Pires, 37, spoke to New York Red Bulls star Henry on the telephone and his French compatriot urged him to head to the USA.
Pires, who signed a short term contract with Villa in October and will be a free agent in the summer, will now speak to his current club to find out if he has a future at Villa Park.
"Thierry has phoned me. He called me up and said 'come over and play with me' but there are no real offers yet,'' Pires told the Birmingham Mail.
"For the moment, there is nothing else because the Premier League is not yet finished for the season. I will wait until it is finished. I am relaxed about it. I still feel fit enough to play.''
Pires added: "I've not yet had talks with Villa about staying here after July (when his contract runs out). I should know soon hopefully. I have an appointment with Gerard Houllier soon. I hope so and I also hope that Gerard can stay (after his heart problem).
"But I will still play football even if it is not at Aston Villa. If it is not at Villa, I will look for somewhere different.''
Pires has had a limited impact in his eight months at Villa, making only four starts.
