Redknapp eyes Johnson swoop

Harry Redknapp could be set to cash in on Birmingham's relegation from the Premier League and bring defender Roger Johnson to Tottenham.
The Spurs boss has admitted he needs to bolster his squad this summer after the club missed out on fourth place following their first season in the Champions League.
With Jonathan Woodgate and Sebastien Bassong seemingly on their way out of White Hart Lane, William Gallas in the last year of his contract and perennial injury concerns over captain Ledley King, Redknapp believes Johnson would be the perfect addition to his squad.
"He's a fantastic player, he leads by example," Redknapp said in The Sun.
However, Redknapp is likely to face a fight on his hands with both Wolves and Arsenal believed to be interested in the player, while Birmingham acting chairman Peter Pannu has admitted every player is for sale, at the right price.
"If someone offers £3million for one of our top players, they will be told 'forget it', but if someone offers £10m, £15m, then we are more likely to think about it," Pannu said.
"But nothing is cast in stone - it is too early really to talk about this sort of thing. I will be meeting [owner Carson Yeung] to discuss what we must do for next season."
