Jack Wilshere feels Manchester United's best chance of toppling Barcelona is to bench striking sensation Javier Hernandez.

United face the Catalan giants in the Champions League final at Wembley on Saturday and there has been lengthy debate on what side Sir Alex Ferguson will deploy. He has decisions to make with regard to his midfield, with the Scot toying with the idea of thrusting Darren Fletcher into the fold, but he also has a dilemma regarding formation.

It has been suggested Ferguson will field Wayne Rooney alongside Mexican sensation Hernandez, but Arsenal star Wilshere feels the best way to get at Barca will be to pack the midfield and play Rooney as a lone striker.

"United have a better chance than we had," Wilshere told The Sun. "They have the likes of Ji-Sung Park and Antonio Valencia who are runners and can stop players.

"United should use just Wayne Rooney with Valencia and Park helping out behind them.

"For most of it, though, they will be defending because that is what Barcelona make you do."

Barca are likely to dominate possession, with Xavi and Andres Iniesta dictating the pace in midfield, and Wilshere feels United must ruffle their feathers.

He said: "The thing with Barca is three passes - bang, bang, bang - and they're through. So you have to get in their faces.

"You have to stop the players like Xavi, Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta who can just kill you.

"But if you can get in their faces they ease off in the second half and you really have to go for them."
