Chelsea and Manchester City transfer target Sergio Aguero has not agreed to join Juventus as reported, according to the Atletico Madrid striker's agent.

The news leaves the door open for the Premier League duo to swoop for Aguero, who has a €45 million buy-out clause in his contract, but they will still face stiff competition for the 23-year-old's signature from across Europe.

Reports in Italy had claimed that Juve had all but sealed a €25 million deal for the Argentina international after the player's representatives met with club officials in Turin.

However, Hernan Reguera, who represents Aguero, insists that no such meeting took place and that the former Independiente striker is still considering his future.

"Sergio has two agents and we have both been in Argentina, we have not met anyone," Reguera told Spanish newspaper AS.

"We have not been in Italy or anywhere, we are in Argentina working on his future. He is quiet, he has delegated this to us and is now focused on the Copa America.

"It is clear that Kun is eager to play Champions League football next season. However, it will not be a decisive factor in the decision on his future. We are currently considering his options and many factors play a role in his decision."

Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for Aguero and new Atletico coach Gregorio Manzano says the club would rather see "Kun" join their arch-rivals rather than accept a cut-price deal with another club.

"It is better that he (Aguero) goes to (Real) Madrid for €45 million than to another team for €25 million," Manzano said in El Larguero. "You always have to look for the best value in the market."

Aguero recently said that no decision will be made about his future until after the Copa America, which will be played from July 1 until July 24 in Argentina.
