Waisake Naholo has announced himself to Highlanders fans in some style with two strong performances since joining the franchise on the back of a breakout ITM Cup season with Taranaki, but the powerful winger will be in Dunedin for just the one Super Rugby season after announcing he has accepted a a two-year contract, with an option of another season, with French Top 14 club Clermont Auvergne.

Naholo will rejoin the Makos, for whom he was the leading try scorer during their Premiership-winning season last year, scoring nine tries in 12 appearances, before he heads to France after the 2015 ITM Cup campaign.

The Fijian-born winger previously played for the Blues in 2013, making just two appearances before he was released.
