Clermont Auvergne openside Viktor Kolelishvili avoided a card after pushing referee Wayne Barnes in their defeat to the Ospreys on Friday evening.

The incident occurred in the first-half of the match with the Ospreys camped on Clermont's 22. Kolelishvili was defending to the left of the ruck and stepped out of the line to push Barnes out of the way. The Georgian then made a gesture as if to say Barnes should have moved.

Barnes then paused the game to give Kolelishvili a talking to and awarded a penalty against the Georgian and the referee said to the player: "If I'm standing in your way please just ask me to move."

The tournament officials could yet take further action if they deem the offence to be worthy of a card leading to a potential suspension.

Kolelishvili was later sin-binned by Barnes for his part in a scuffle with Alun Wyn Jones.
