Former All Black Bruce Reihana has scored two tries in his two Test appearances for his country, but since joining Northampton Saints he has quickly become a fans favourite at Franklin's Gardens, scoring more than 1,000 points.
The utility back won both of his caps on the wing during New Zealand's November tour of Europe making his debut in the 42-33 defeat to France in Marseille before scoring a double a week later against Italy in a 56-19 win in Genoa.
Reihana played 81 times for Waikato, twice winning the Ranfurly Shield, and 58 times for the Chiefs at Super rugby level. He represented his country at Sevens at the 1998 and 2002 Commonwealth Games winning gold medals on both occasions.
After his NZRU contract was not renewed in 2002 he joined the Saints, initially with a view to returning home in 2006. In his first full campaign he scored 15 tries and won the Premiership Overseas Player of the Year and the PRA Players' Player of the Year in his first season.
He sustained a serious knee injury in 2006/7 and the club were relegated in his absence. He returned to captain the side and take over kicking duties. Although he lost his place midway through 2008/9, but he fought back to eventually lead them to that season's European Challenge Cup.
He scored his 1,000th point for the club against the Exeter Chiefs on Saturday, November 2, 2010 as part of a 17 point haul.
