Bayonne have lifted scrum-half Mike Phillips' ban after just one game, according to reports.

Phillips was suspended on Friday for what club president Alain Afflelou described as "unacceptable off-field behaviour". It is thought that the suspension came after Phillips reportedly broke team rules by going out after their loss at home to Toulouse on September 21, 2012.

But Phillips is expected to return to the mix for Bayonne's Amlin Challenge Cup match with Modigliano on October 12. He is currently sidelined with a hand injury and would have missed their match with Biarritz on Sunday anyway, but his conduct has come under the spotlight at the Top 14 Orange club.

A report on the BBC claims that his suspension has been waived after one match and he will now meet with the club to discuss his discipline. "Mike has a meeting with the board of the club and head coach, Christian Lanta, at the start of next week and they will talk about his suspension," said a Bayonne spokesman. "All the players have to be responsible and have a professional attitude at the club."
