Kockott targets France call-up

Castres' No.9 Rory Kockott has admitted playing for France is an option.

Kockott linked up with the current Top 14 champions in 2011 and has become one of the star players in the French top flight. With Kockott reportedly becoming eligible for Les Bleus in 2014, Philippe Saint-Andre could call on the scrum-half, a proposition he would be open to if he fails in getting a call-up from the Boks.

"I'm a strong believer that if I'm playing the best rugby of my career, I'll catch the attention of the selectors back home," Kockot said. "But if that doesn't work out, I hope to do well enough to get into the French team. I'm still very young and I'd like to have an international career. Here (in France) or in my country. I have three or four years left to achieve that."
